Hey all you women riders — We have a great class set up for SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2021, FROM NOON TO 4 P.M., focused on what you need to know to deal roadside with any problems you may encounter while out and about on your bicycle. From inflating your tires to changing a flat to adjusting your brakes or shifters to fixing a broken a chain, our ace mechanic Bill is ready to lay it all out for four hours straight. Whether you have no bike mechanic experience or are looking to brush up on your skills, this class is for you. You can have the skills to ride with confidence, whether you’re on the roads or on the trail.
Women! Ladies! Babes! whatever we want to be called — this is our chance to get into the shop, learn to use every tool imaginable, and make that space work for us. If you have something on your bike that needs adjusting or fixing, bring it along, and if it’s appropriate, we will use your bike demonstrate a given task or skill.
This class is offered at whatever price you feel you can afford to pay. Do not let cost get in the way of your participation. Women are generally underrepresented in most bike repair settings and we want you to hear loud and clear — YOU BELONG IN THE SHOP! And if you have more than enough resources, don’t be shy about throwing a little extra to CAT — you can be sure all funds are put to good use. Sign up today to reserve your spot in the class by clicking here. (Donate a custom amount for the class by clicking on the $0.00 box.)
Any questions, feel free to email Anne (affrompa@gmail.com) or Scott (cat@lvcat.org) — we’re looking forward to hearing from you!
