Dear Friends of CAT –
We’re having a movie night this Saturday and you’re invited!
Our film will be MOTHERLOAD.
Date: January 25, 2020
Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm.
Location: CAT Bicycle Cooperative,1935 West Broad St, Bethlehem, PA 18018
About Motherload:
Filmmaker Liz Canning cycled everywhere until she had twins in 2008. Hauling babies via car was not only unsustainable but took the freedom and adventure out of life, and Liz felt trapped. She uncovered a global movement of people replacing cars with cargo bikes: long-frame bicycles designed for carrying passengers & heavy loads. Motherload is a crowdsourced documentary about a new mother’s quest to understand the increasing isolation and disconnection of the digital age, its planetary impact, and how cargo bikes could be an antidote.
CAT note: This film is definitely family-friendly for all ages (it’s about families on bikes!). Watch the trailer here.
Suggested donation is $10 (free for ages 12 and under) Please donate with this ticket link.
Your donation helps cover the film licensing fee and supports CAT’s work for walking, bicycling, public transit, and trails in the Lehigh Valley.
We hope to see you on Saturday!
Regards,
Scott and the CAT crew!
