CAT had a successful summer participating at 18 Movie Nights and community events in Allentown and Bethlehem (one in Emmaus). The events were well attended by many children and was a great opportunity to reach out and support the community with bicycle and biking safety education while sharing the opportunities that CAT is able to bring to people of all ages.
At the most recent event on 9/6 in Bucky Boyle Park, Tim Phillips and Steve Slutter represented CAT. Steve remarked, “There was a steady flow of enthusiastic children visiting our tent to Spin the Bicycle Wheel, answer our bike safety questions and learn about bike components. At the end of the evening we completed a free raffle for two 20” bicycles. It is always great to see the excitement of the raffle.”
We look forward to the remaining 2024 Movie Night event on Friday October 18th at the Allentown Arts Park. This will be a Halloween-themed night, featuring the film “Hocus Pocus”.
