Bicycle Parking Operation
CAT volunteers will greet bicyclists and have them sign-in to receive their basic contact information. As value-added service, CAT offers routing information and smart cycling advice to attending bicyclists. We try to keep it simple: air for the tires and water for the rider.
Once signed in, a CAT volunteer will park the person’s bike. Only CAT volunteers are permitted into the bicycle parking area to place bicycles in racks.
Our current model requests a high-visibility area near the entrance or trail access area of an event, preferably with limited background noise (such as generators, engines, traffic, etc.)
To control access and minimize theft, we request fencing or roped off boundary with a single opening. We have banners and signage to direct bicyclists to the bicycle parking area.
If you are planning an event and are interested for CAT to operate a bicycle parking station, please contact us for a consultation.
