Big news for the Lehigh Valley community — CAT has a brand-new home!
We’re thrilled to announce that CAT has officially moved into the new Walnut Street Garage in downtown Bethlehem, and we’re inviting everyone to join us for a grand opening celebration on Saturday, January 24 (scroll down for the details)!
It’s been a long ride (pun intended), but this move marks an exciting new chapter for CAT — and for everyone who shares our passion for biking, walking, and public transit.
Thanks to a strong partnership with the City of Bethlehem and the Bethlehem Parking Authority (BPA), CAT’s new space in the Walnut Street Garage gives us room to grow our CAT Bicycle Cooperative and expand the programs our community loves — from bike repair classes and commuter support to group bike rides and volunteer opportunities.
“We’re so excited to continue our mission from this beautiful new space,” said Scott Slingerland, CAT’s Executive Director. “This partnership with the City and BPA allows us to make walking, bicycling and public transit even more accessible to Bethlehem residents and visitors alike. It is also more central to the Lehigh Valley so we can better serve both counties.”
Our new CAT Bicycle Cooperative offers expanded room for:
- DIY bike repair and maintenance
- Hands-on workshops and classes
- Central start for community bike rides
- Future events
- Volunteer and membership opportunities
Come Celebrate with Us!
We’ll be holding an Open House on Saturday, January 24, so you can stop by from 10 A.M. – 3 P.M. to check out the new space, meet the CAT team, and see what’s new in our bicycle cooperative.
Drop in anytime throughout the day to:
- Tour our new CAT Bicycle Cooperative
- Meet the CAT team and volunteers
- Enjoy light refreshments
- Mini bike mechanics workshops
- Learn how you can get involved
Whether you’re a long-time CAT supporter, a casual cyclist, or just curious about what we do — we’d love for you to stop in, say hello, and help us celebrate this exciting step forward.
