Hi everyone!
We’re going to ride this Sunday morning, July 23, leaving the CAT office (1935 W. Broad Street, Bethlehem) with a start time of 9 a.m.. We’ll try to be there about 8:30 so that anyone who needs to can air up their tires or do any other minor pre-ride maintenance. Our route will be about 25 miles, with a combination of rolling roads and a section of the Nor-Bath trail.
For any of you getting in shape for a lot get ride this Summer – for example, the overnight women’s ride next month – this is a nice moderate training opportunity. Also, this is a good chance to get accustomed to riding on the roads; as there will be a number of us riding, we will be particularly visible and will follow all safe riding practices.
As usual, we’ll not go faster than the slowest of us. Feel free to spread the word to anyone else who might like to join us. Most any type of bike can work on this ride. Though we will be on a trail for a portion of the ride, anyone riding a road bike with skinny tires can negotiate this travel with a bit of attention and care.
As this is a CAT ride, wearing a helmet is required. For your own comfort, you might also want to bring some water and a snack.
If any of you have questions, please feel free to contact us at annef@lvcat.org or tim.phillips@lvcat.org.
We hope to see you Sunday.
