Over the Hill ride for Wednesday 10/2/24 will be an ice cream ride!
Hello Over The Hill Riders,
Our next ride will be this Wednesday October 2nd starting at 11:30 a.m. from Water Street Park in Hellertown located at 90 W Water St, Hellertown, PA 18055. From there, we’ll ride to the Inside Scoop ice cream shop for a snack. The ride will be mostly on the Saucon trail and a short distance on roads. This ride is relatively flat with a total distance of 14 miles.
Come early if you need to pump up your tires or make any other minor adjustments to your bike.
If any of you would like to get in some extra saddle time, feel free to join Tim at the start of the South Bethlehem Greenway on New Street to ride from there to Water Street Park in Hellertown. It adds about 10 miles (5 each way) to the ride. Tim will be leaving on the Greenway at 10:30 a.m. sharp, (located across the street from the New Street Parking Garage)
Most any type of bike is appropriate for this ride. As with most CAT rides, our pace will largely be set by the group. No one will get dropped. If you’re looking for a social ride, with a chance to appreciate our beautiful surroundings while engaging in pleasant conversation, this is it!
We hope you can join us, and bring some friends along while you’re at it! Although our Over the Hill Rides are targeted to retirees, anyone who is free during the work day is welcome.

- As with all CAT rides, all riders are required to wear a helmet
- Please bring a spare tube that fits your wheel size
- Consider bringing water and a snack
