The new CAT Bicycle Cooperative and office got a step closer on December 10th. CAT’s lease for the ground floor of the Walnut Street Garage was signed by Steve Fernstrom (Bethlehem Parking Authority Director), Bill Meiklejohn (CAT Board President), and Scott Slingerland (CAT Executive Director).
In addition, on December 30th, Bethlehem Mayor Reynolds met with CAT Board of Directors members at the construction site to celebrate the lease signing, marking this big step toward CAT’s return to downtown Bethlehem. (photo below)
CAT is engaging in a major fundraising campaign to raise money for fit-out of the new facility. If you are able to support the move, please make a donation here.
CAT’s lease term will begin around December 1, 2025, when CAT is able to move into the new space. Although eleven months seems far away, CAT is busy designing the floor plan, finalizing architectural details with BPA and CAT’s on-call architect, Gary Lader.
