Join the Lehigh Valley’s first car-free community ride! Bike Broad is a family-friendly, car-free, out-and-back bike ride from the Rose Garden to Downtown Bethlehem, culminating in a fun festival with food, vendors, and music.

  1. Rain or Shine. No refunds.
  2. Helmets are required for all riders. No exceptions.
  3. All participants must start at the Rose Garden for safety and coordination.
  4. Bikes only. Only traditional bikes and Class 1 & 2 e-bikes permitted.
  5. No pets allowed.
  6. Riders must be age 7+.
  7. Please ensure your bike is in safe working condition. Pre-ride bike checks are strongly encouraged at your local bike shop or CAT Bicycle Cooperative.
  8. Ride safely. This is a social ride, not a race. Be mindful and respectful of others around you.
  9. Obey all instructions from police and volunteers.
  10. No headphones/earbuds while riding.
  11. Event photography notice (by participating, you may be photographed and used in online promotional posts)
  12. CAT reserves the right to remove any participant for unsafe behavior.

Bike Broad supports the year-round advocacy, education, and community work of CAT – the Lehigh Valley’s bike, pedestrian, and public transit non-profit that works tirelessly to make the LV’s streets safe for all.

FAQs

What is the refund policy?

Bike Broad is rain or shine. No refunds allowed.

What should I bring with me on the day of the event?

Your bike and helmet (mandatory)! Also, bring your digital ticket/helmet sticker. Also, bring a refillable water bottle.

What if it rains?

Bike Broad will be held rain or shine. If there is a serious weather warning, volunteers will direct riders to a safe location along the route. Please check our website for the latest information leading up to the event.

Can I start anywhere along the route?
For your safety, all participants should start at the Rose Garden. We strongly discourage starting at any other point along the route.

Can I ride something other than a bike?
No. For the safety of all participants, only bikes will be allowed (only Class 1 & 2 eBikes are allowed with a speed limit of 20 miles per hour; please remember to fully charge your eBike).

What if I don't have a bike?
Please get in touch with CAT. CAT@lvcat.org

Where can I park?

For this event, Broad Street east of 8th Av will be closed as well as 8th Av between Union and Broad. If you can, ride your bike to the Rose Garden! If driving, we recommend you use Union Av and park off of there. Or go to 10th Avenue are head to Broad (West of the Rose Garden).
