CAT’s LAST WOMEN’S TUES NIGHT RIDE TIL SPRING!
Hi all, We’ve come to that time of year where the darkness is overtaking our ride, and so this Tuesday’s ride, October 8, will be the last evening ride until we reconvene next Spring. Note that we’ll start riding half an hour earlier than usual, at 5:30 p.m..
We’ll meet starting at 5:15 p.m. at the Charlie Brown Ice House parking lot, on Sand Island in Bethlehem, with a ride start time of 5:30 p.m.. The ride will be entirely on the D&L path; we’ll go about 5-6 miles, and then return the same way. As usual, we’ll go at a pace that allows for socializing; no one will get left behind. Even though we’ll be starting at 5:30 p.m., to be safe you might want to bring your lights.
Wearing a helmet is required on this and all CAT rides. It’s a good idea to also bring some water and a snack, and if you plan to join the gang for social time after the ride, please do bring your lights – white in front, red in the rear.
We hope to convene a purely social gathering of all women riders some time in the next few weeks, to talk about ways we might improve our rides going forward and how we might get together over the cold weather months. Keep your eyes out for an email announcing the details.
In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you this evening! – Anne and Joan
