On January 5, 2026, Sissy Kennedy joined the CAT staff as full-time CAT Youth Bicycle Program Coordinator.
Sissy has been involved with CAT for two years, volunteering at the CAT Bicycle Cooperative and as a part-time staff member at youth bike events.
“I’m excited to be part of CAT because it has always been about more than bikes—it’s about people,” said Sissy.
Sissy brings strong organizational and communication skills that are a big part of this position.
“I’m especially excited now because this new space represents a turning point,” she said. “This moment feels like an investment in the future of our community.”
Sissy discovered CAT when she and her daughter were searching for a bike. The team at CAT was incredibly responsive and worked closely with them to build the perfect bike for her. She’s been volunteering for two and a half years, and when the opportunity arose to take on more responsibility and contribute in a bigger way, she was thrilled to step up.
“The best thing about CAT is the sense of belonging and empowerment it creates,” said Sissy. “Bikes may bring people through the door, but community is what keeps them coming back.”
Sissy has also been a CAT ride leader since 2025, and is a resident of Bethlehem’s west side.
